Food recovery kitchen

HOW IT WORKS

The Food Recovery Kitchen is works to limit food waste in our region by utilizing donations from local restaurants, Appalachian State Dining Hall, and grocery stores to create ready-to-eat meals for those utilizing our food pantry.

WHAT'S PROVIDED

The food recovery kitchen creates nutritious to-go meals. Items will vary depending on time of day (breakfast/lunch/dinner) and on what has been donated for that week. Each meal includes a main, two sides, and a dessert. Our kitchen also distributes eggs, dairy products, and miscellaneous refrigerated donations.
